In his 8th chapter, Matthew tells us how Jesus healed people – and we think Jesus heals you as well!

The chapter starts by telling us how Jesus cleanses a leper.

He just simply puts His hand on the leper – and the sickness vanished.

Jesus is later asked by a centurion to come to heal his servant. He spoke the famous words:

Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed.

– Centurion

Did you ever wonder why the centurion said he’s not worthy?

The answer might surprise you: Because he’s a Roman, and the Romans were occupying Jerusalem at that time.

The centurion respected the fact that Jesus may not want to help him.

But it is no surprise that Jesus still helped him – only an hour later, the servant was healed.

Jesus helps

Helping the centurion was a wonderful act of Jesus, but by far not the only one.

Jesus went on to heal Peter’s mother-in-law.

He just touched her head once and the mother-in-law was instantly healed.

The people saw that and they cheered.

They brought demon-possessed people to Jesus – and he healed them as well.

Later, Jesus got into a boat and fell asleep, only to be woken up by panicking sailors.

They were scared of the sea, which had turned violent and harsh.

Jesus got up and calmed the winds and the sea with one single word, leaving all the sailors in awe.

And the chapter continues telling us how Jesus healed even more people.

That’s how Jesus is: A kind-hearted person who healed as many as he could.

Jesus heals you too!

Now it’s 2020 and Jesus is no longer walking this earth.

Well, that’s not true as you might know already.

Jesus is still among us, he’s still here.

He knows your worries and he knows your sorrows, maybe even before you are aware of them.

Jesus sees you, your soul, and your heart.

Whatever troubles you, is already known by Jesus – and he can heal you!

Do you wonder how Jesus heals you even without putting his hand on your head?

If you do, you’re not alone as many people struggle with accepting the fact that Jesus can heal them even in 2020.

But it’s true.

The first step is to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Only then can he save you.

The second step is to truly let Jesus in!

Let him in your heart, let him in your soul.

Don’t just say that you accept him as your Lord, MEAN it!

If you pray to Him, He will come to you and he will show you the way.

Now healing might not be an instant process for you, especially if your sorrows are complicated.

But Jesus will guide you.

He already is with you everywhere you go. You just need to take your time to listen to Him.

Pray.

Pray every day, deepen your relationship with Jesus and you will realize that he’s always been with you.

And once you really, truly realize that, the healing process begins.

If you already now accept and love Jesus, the healing process already started.

Maybe you don’t see it.

But Jesus IS healing you as you read this text. He’s with you NOW.

Wait a few months and you will see that things are better by then.

Because Jesus healed you.
